A Little History |
|
Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant is located on 4th Street Southeast in a historic railroad depot that was built on the site in 1864 by the Winona & St. Peter R.R. Cut in half and moved by rail to a new location in downtown Rochester in 1903, the building continued to serve as a train depot until 1949 and as a bus depot until 1987. Saved from the wrecking ball by a group of local citizens, the historic depot was eventually moved back to its original 4th Street location in 1997, becoming the home of Dos Amigos in 2002. While the outside of the depot has been restored to retain its original look, inside you will find the best in authentic Mexican dining. The restaurant's main level comfortably seats 180 people. The lower level, which is elevator accessible, seats an additional 80 diners and is ideal for large groups. Our outdoor patio seats 120. Dos Amigos is also within easy walking distance of most downtown hotels and the Mayo Clinic. |
